Job Description

Logistics Operative, Billingham, £22,425Reporting to the Stores/Warehousing Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of warehousing and logistics activities as part of a team on a 3rd party client site across the 3 sites in Middlesbrough areaRole RequirementsDeliver Warehousing and Logistics service

  • Ownership of all storage & warehousing areas across site
  • Manage storage & stock inventory levels
  • Manage long term & short-term holdings
  • Receipting & checking goods in & out
  • Responsible for the delivery & receipting documentation
  • Prepare goods for movements across UK and Oversees
  • Manage waste streams to site standards
  • Arrange and deliver product collection and dispatching to customer requirements
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping in areas assigned
  • Forklift services
  • Waste Management - Bio-hazard waste - Solvent waste - WEE waste
  • Deliver services to customer requirements through appropriate prioritisation and planning
Health & Safety
  • Setting high safety standards
  • All activities are risk assessed and carried out to highest safety standards
  • Complete Take 5 Pre-Task Risk Assessment.
  • Manage 3rd party contractors while on site - delivery drivers, other service providers
Skills Required
  • Experience handling chemical materials - ADR trained or equivalent beneficial
  • Experience of working in a warehousing and or logistics environment
  • Familiar with Dangerous goods consignment notes
  • Excellent Inter-personnel skills
  • Work in an organized manner, problem solving within the scope of the position.
  • Identify, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors, and to develop processes.
  • Communicate effectively in person, on telephone and by electronic means.
  • Effective use Microsoft Software, SAP, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Monday to Friday: 37.5hrs/week
