Job Description

Hiring Instrument Electrical Designers for a client based in Billingham on a chemical processing plant. A full time office-based role Monday to Friday, working 08:00 until 16:00 however offers some start/finish time flexibility. Our client require our Designers to be physically fit as on occasion you will be required to work on scaffold platforms and climb vertical ladders.Responsibilities: * Reporting to the Records and Design Office Team Leader* Providing engineering designs and checking designers work* Maintaining site records and surveying existing plant* Supporting reliable, efficient and safe operations at the plant* Providing scopes of work for plant modifications and projects* Using AutoCAD to produce multiple engineering drawings, diagrams and box schedulesQualifications and essential experience:* Minimum of HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical/instrumentation engineering* Working knowledge of current European regulations especially BS7671* Design of MCC switchgear* Design of process instrumentation loops ranging from pneumatic to DCS* Design of electrical systems ranging from 24VDC up to 415V* Design of relay and PLC based control and shutdown logic systems* An appreciation of large-scale petrochemical processes* Analytical and problem-solving skills* Computer skills including Word, Excel and AutocadIf you wish to be considered for the role of Instrument Electrical Designer, please submit your CV.
