Job Description

HGV Technician - Billingham£25,000 per annumAlecto Recruitment are representing a main dealer in the Dartford area who are looking for a new skilled HGV to join their ever-growing team. You will be working a fast paced and rewarding work environment with the opportunity to develop themselves.For this role you must hold a Leve 3 or equivalent qualification at a minimum.The Role:

  • 4 on 4 off (08:00-20:30)
  • Undertaking all service inspections/maintenance work as required in order that the vehicles are compliant with all regulations
  • Fault diagnostic using variety of test equipment and repairing the defective parts
  • Complete all safety check and preparing vehicles for MOTs
  • Work in a safe manner and in compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Be able to work without direct supervision and maintain companies standards and health & safety requirements
    • Key Skills & Experience of an HGV Mechanic:
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (Essential)
  • Driving License (Essential)
  • HGV Class 1 License (Desirable)
  • Main Dealer Experience (Desirable)
  • Relevant manufacturing Experience (Desirable)
  • Additional Industry Relevant Qualifications (Desirable)
