Job Description

CY Partners are currently looking to recruit a Chemical Environmental Analyst on an initial 6 month contract basis on behalf of a growing, Teesside based Chemical & Pharmaceutical CDMO. In this role you will mainly be responsible for taking and analysing hazardous liquid waste samples.Candidates will be required to carry out the following techniques.

  • Chromatography: HPLC (IC), GC, GC-MS,
  • Wet Chemistry: Titration, extraction, separation, standard preparation, gravimetric analysis
  • Spectrophotometry: UV-Vis, IR, XRF, TOC/TKN Combustion Analysis
  • Calorimetry, COD, Respirometry
    • To succeed in this post, you will need to be self-motivated and highly organised, have an eye for detail and be able to interpret statistical data and develop methods as well as working to GMP and GLP standards.Requirements:
  • Minimum BSc in Chemistry or equivalent experience
  • Prior working experience in a cGMP, GLP or UKAS Analytical environment
  • Knowledge and experience of HPLC, GC-MS and other relevant testing
  • Experience of Method Development or Validation (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of routine Environmental Testing and HSE Compliance (Desirable)
  • Strong organisational, problem solving & communication skills
  • Access to personal transport (Due to site location)
