Construction Manager E&I - Temp Role£37.50-£42.50Are you a skilled and experienced construction manager with an electrical trade background and a track record of delivering E&I projects in Power Generation, Oil & Gas or Pharmaceutical Industries Do you have strong skills in managing safety, cost, schedule,quality, procurement, subcontractors and commissioning Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding temp role with a leading engineering and construction companyIf you answered yes to these questions, then we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a construction manager E&I to join our team and oversee the safe and successful execution of various E&I projects across the UK. You will be responsiblefor:Managing the pre-construction planning, procurement and execution strategyManaging the manpower and resources planning and mobilisation allocationDriving a construction and commissioning project strategyManaging the procurement, tender evaluation and selection of subcontractors and follow through the implementation, forecasting and contract closeoutManaging the QA procedure and QC compliance in implementationManaging and tracking of procurement, especially long lead items as well as bulk materials procurement and timely deliveryEnsuring the full implementation of safety procedures and requirementsManaging the earlier procurement of the packages to fast track the progressPlanning and establishing the site setting up and respective enabling worksEnsuring the works perform compliance to spec and project requirementTracking and ensuring that the overall progress is on or ahead of schedule and costMaintaining daily record of all activities, labour & plant and any non-compliance of materials and workmanshipClose field monitoring to ensure quality workmanshipTo be considered for this role, you must have:Electrical trade background preferredProven construction management track with min 10 years’ experience in Power Generation, Oil & Gas or Pharmaceutical IndustriesDiverse managerial know-how in managing and coordination of multiple disciplinesGood understanding of commercial issue and experience in handling contract disputesCritical human relations skills in understanding, selecting, training, developing and motivating peopleStrong analytical, problem solving ability with adaptive and constructive thinkingSafety focus, experience in the enforcement of safety legislation and corporate safety procedures and requirementsThis is a temp role for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension or renewal. The location of the projects may vary depending on the client’s needs, so you must be willing to travel within the UK as required.
