Would you like to help youth unemployment across the capital You will be leading a team who support young people into education, training and employment. You will manage a team of 4 employment advisors whose role is to find NEET referrals from a range of community partners such as JCP, youth charities and schools / colleges. The team will then discuss with young people the range of level 1 courses the charity deliver, which typically last 2 – 4 weeks. At which point the team will then help the young person to progress to a high level qualification i.e. level 2 (with a training provider or college) or support them into employment.You will be great at managing staff and coordinating an outreach employment support project. You will be comfortable reporting into the two prime contractors who manage the programme. This is initially a 12 month contract, however they are expecting a further contract to come on board in the summer which will likely come under your remit as well, the this role will grow.You will have experience of previously managing similar employment or skills programmes. You wont mind rolling your sleeves up, and inspiring a team to get results and make a difference.
