Job Description

Our Beverley office in East Yorkshire has an opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join the payroll team. Directly supporting the Payroll Manager this is an excellent career development opportunity.You will be assisting the payroll manager with weekly and monthly payroll requirements, ensuring payroll is processed following HMRC guidelines and UK Legislation, providing first line of contact for client queries, ensuring payroll data is accurately recorded,processing ad hoc payroll entries and generating payroll reports when required.We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:Required:

  • Excellent IT Skills especially Excel, Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • A good work ethic and a can do attitude
  • Able to meet deadlines and manage workloads
  • Analytically minded
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Efficient with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communicator both written and verbal
  • Motivated team player
  • Highly personable with good communication skills
Preferred although not essential:
  • Payroll experience: 1 year
  • Knowledge of HMRC requirements and UK Payroll Legislation
