REED Engineering are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.Maintenance ManagerRole:• It is a very exciting time to join the team, we are growing at a vast rate and have recently introduced new products into the market which were on show at the trade shows. This role is imperative to our growth and will oversee new product development projectswhilst driving manufacturing processes across production. The right candidate will be accountable for technical, product manufacturing and the leadership of the design & technical office; a team of established and highly experienced professionals that offertechnical project solutions.Key Responsibilities:•Manage the resources of the department and ensure full support is provided to the R&D team and manufacturing process requirements.•Follow the life cycle of each project from creation to completion, emphasizing technical soundness and resource efficiency, respecting engineering times to adhere to company business plans.•Direct and coordinate the activities of the Department, manage relations with the corporate and group• sectors and with external parties.•Organise department staffing to align with the scope of engineering programs and ensure adequate• resources.•Support all aspects of manufacturing including the process design, assembly, and testing. Solving problems and maximizing efficiency.•Engaging in root cause analysis of non-conformities with other functions and external parties where appropriate.•Establish / maintain the engineering organisational structure in line with the company strategy.•Guarantee the conformity of the systems/plants and products to all the reference standards and certifications.•Carry out additional duties related to the management of engineering and R&D activities, as shared from time to time with the Strategy & Innovation team.•Exercise of the management powers assigned by operating in compliance with the directives received, the plans and approved strategies, the corporate policies and procedures of the production, quality and HSE department.•Autonomy to implement improvement processes and lead a team of knowledgeable Engineers.Who are we looking for You will have a proven track record of managing engineering projects. Be able to implement manufacturing process improvements and optimisation strategies within a similartechnical manufacturing environment. Familiarity with product standards, and knowledge of national & international regulations.Standards applicable to product Design for Manufacturing & Design for Safety; (DFSS) Lean Experience HSE management, general & specific risks knowledge is essential.
