Design Manager - Modular Building HireJob Title: Design Manager - Modular Building HireIndustry Sector: Design Manager, Technical Manager, AutoCAD, Revit, Modular Buildings, Rental, Hire Industry, Construction, Education, Healthcare, Main Contractor, Developer, House BuilderLocation: East Yorkshire (hybrid working available)Remuneration: £65,000 - £70,000 + up to 12.5% bonusBenefits: Comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the Design Manager - Modular Building Hire will involve:

  • Technical & Design Manager position dealing with the hire of large modular complexes, typically 15-75 bays and order values from £100,000-£2m+
  • Managing the Design Team with 8 reports
  • Ensure that workloads are prioritised in line with project programmes and deadlines
  • Providing technical documentation to support tenders / quotations where required
  • Liaise regularly with Sales & Pre-Construction Teams
  • Ensuring that drawings are completed to the highest levels, to standards and client specifications
  • Overseeing and assisting with the development of new products
  • Mentor and develop the design team to enhance their skills and working ability
  • Identify areas of the design process that can be improved to increase accuracy and efficiency
The ideal applicant will be a Design Manager - Modular Building Hire with:
  • Must have Design Management experience within the construction industry
  • Experience within the modular building, main contractor, house builder or developer market sectors would be highly advantageous
  • Must have strong people management skills
  • Experienced in AutoCAD and ideally Revit
  • Strong communication skills across all levels, both written and verbal
  • Ability to motivate and lead a design team
  • Familiar with working in a fast paced environment dealing with multiple projects at any one time
