Job Description

The RoleAs part of the Governments Strategy to Tackle Loneliness, Community Transport has partnered with Transport for West Midlands to deliver the Lets Chat pilot project. The pilot project is expected to run until the end of May 2023, however there is thepotential for the scheme to continue after this date, should the pilot project be successful.In the West Midlands, up to 13% of the population suffer from loneliness and isolation, this has a significant impact on the health, wellbeing, and overall quality of life. The Lets Chat project will tackle this issue in a simple and effective waygoingclose to where people are and offering the opportunity for social contact, a chat and a cup of tea.As a Loneliness Prevention Project Administrator, you will be contracted to 37 hours per week to be worked between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. This role can be based at our sites in Birmingham, Bilston or Nuneaton depending on the preference ofthe successful applicant. You will provide an efficient, effective, and supportive service of administration to clients, both when booking onto services and dealing with complaints/queries over the telephone. You will use agreed systems and procedures toensure effective booking of transport and to ensure the smooth running of the Lets Chat pilot project.Essential skills / training;

  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Experience of using information technology for a range of different purposes, including extensive experience of MS Applications, especially Microsoft Word & Excel
  • The ability to communicate effectively with members of the public and other professionals
  • The ability to record information with a high degree of accuracy
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment of continuous improvement
  • Motivated to contribute to a team culture
  • Being prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business
