Job Description

OverviewOur Client is an international leader within the Telecommunications Sector, now seeking to strengthen and grow their development team with a further Software Development Engineer. The main purpose of the role is in Software Development for Wireless 4G/5G MAC Solutions .NOTE: Some international travel may be required.Role Profile

  • Software Design, Code, Test, Integration and Documentation
  • Design, Development and testing wireless solutions for 5G-NR gNB and 4G eNB
  • Problems investigation and bug fixing
    • Person Profile:
  • Degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Telecommunication related discipline
  • Good programming skills in Linux environment using C/C++ for Linux based target
  • Use of Object Orientated Design methodology and tools (UML)
  • Embedded software development for telecommunication systems wireless or wired
  • Working knowledge of networking - Layer 2 and Layer 3, 802.3, 802.1, IPv4 and IPv6
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including design documentation
  • Must be able to work closely with others in team in a fast moving demanding environment with minimum supervision
  • Must be motivated to get the Job done and research for solutions without waiting for others to provide information or push for progress
  • Must be diligent in producing documentation and facilitate effective knowledge sharing with other members of staff
    • Experience and skills in two or more of the following domains are essential
  • Software experience with 3/4/5G systems: 5G-NR, LTE, WiMAX, UMTS, WiFi, WiGig
  • Knowledge of LTE/5G protocol stack
  • Management protocols: NETCONF, RESTCONF, YANG, SNMP, TR69, MIB
  • RF subsystem, licensed/unlicensed bands, microwave, GPS, IEEE1588
  • Board bring up on new platforms: BSP, U-Boot, device tree
  • Security architecture and protocols: secure boot/Linux, SSL, AES, X509
  • Embedded GUI, HTML, Java, Java script, embedded WEB servers
  • Hardware interfacing: I2C, SPI, Linux kernel driver development
