Senior Accountant | North Derbyshire | £35,000 - £45,000 DOE| Flexible WorkingCherry Professional are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant for an Accountancy Practice based in North Derbyshire.Are you an experienced Senior Accountant looking for a firm that will reward and recognise your contribution, or perhaps you are a Semi Senior Accountant that is ready for your next career move Do you like the idea of becoming a Partner in the future and becoming a key figure head within the business Would you like to work with a firm of Accountants who value their employeesand supports professional development If so, then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.The post would suit a fully qualified accountant with current or previous experience working in a firm of accountants. The successful applicant will support the partner and the other Senior Accountant in providing a range of accountancy servicesto clients, as well as mentoring and training junior members of team. The day to day- Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders up to the audit threshold.- Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns.- Providing management accounting support to clients when required.- Filing Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on clients behalf.- Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date.- Dealing with the preparation and completion of VAT returns.- Support with the mentoring and training of junior members of the team including sign off of their work.- Manage the existing client database effectively and support with any ad hoc support needed, both in person and remotely.- Support with the on-boardingof new clients.Your experience... - Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent - Previous experience operating and preparing accounts in an Accountancy Practice. - Strong knowledge of VAT related matters.- Strong Knowledge and preparation of TAX returns.- Excellent inter-personal skills.- Previous experience using IRIS.- Previous experience using Sage, Quickbooks or Xero for book-keeping.Jobs you may have applied for: Practice Manager, Senior Practice Accountant and Accountant.This job is commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, Chesterfield and Matlock.Cherry Professional are recruiting this role on behalf of the client.Cherry Professional are recruiting for this opportunity on behalf of our client.
