Job Description

Project ManagerLocation: BelperShift: Days.Salary: circa £40,000 per annumPermanentOur Client:Our client is an internationally renowned brand which has products, services and British engineering values and roots, and harnesses the expertise and passion of a great team, leading technology, and craftsmanship to deliver high quality vehicles and innovativeengineering solutions. They specialise in off-road vehicles, vehicle modifications and adaptations to operate in harsh & extreme environments, including racing and rallying.Project Manager Role:The purpose of this Project Manager role is to lead the delivery of projects and their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies. Typically, this will involve the planning and co-ordination of specific projects and ensure delivery to thatplan. You will be working with the Head of Engineering, the Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing and Design teams in order to deliver these projects.

  • Development and delivery of the project(s) timing plan,
  • Project delivery status on time to the plan and aligned to the company requirements,
  • Develop the project plan that satisfies the company requirements,
  • Work on projects and work streams; from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management ensuring project delivery to required timescale, quality, and cost,
  • Work with the operational business to understand current processes and to document and prioritise requirements for changes and additions,
  • Management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management,
  • Use lean project management principles in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working,
  • Track and measure all projects and report project metrics to senior management,
  • Use wider business experience to guide and help others to identify potential alternative solutions to problems occurring on their projects.
Key Project Manager Skills Required:
  • Previous experience in a similar role in Project Management with track record of delivery,
  • Methodical detailed approach to work context,
  • Analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base,
  • Ability to present complex data & issues to a varied audience,
  • Experience of Problem Resolution using structured approaches,
  • Ability to manage risks and issues,
  • Negotiation and adaptability skills,
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Desirable experience:
  • Experience of stakeholder management at all levels
  • Commercially astute with an ability to understand the business function that this role supports.
