A valuable opportunity has arisen within an established compliance company known for their expertise in various sectors including asbestos, fire safety and health & safety. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Health & Safety Consultant based in and around the Derby area. Ideally, they are looking for an individual who holds the CMIOSH or equivalent advanced health & safety qualification and will be experienced in carrying out risk assessments and health & safety audits. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate their specialist knowledge of all relevant health & safety legislation and ability to apply this within the role. Applications from Stoke-on-Trent, Leicester, Chesterfield, Stafford and the surrounding areas will be considered.Qualifications & Experience:Must come from a strong technical/consultancy/management/auditing asbestos/legionella background.Possess the relevant NEBOSH - CMIOSH certificates - Health & Safety qualifications are essential.Practical working experience within the specified industries e.g. asbestos, legionella, fire would be beneficial.Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.Have the ability to prioritise own workload.Must be able to deliver presentations.Must have an excellent technical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, policies & procedures.Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package - Database.Flexible attitude towards work with a willingness to travel. Responsibilities of the Role: Carrying out on-site inspections relating to the Health & Safety performance of the teams.Undertaking Health & Safety risk assessments addressing any issues that arise. Carrying out Health & Safety, Staff and Compliance audits, etc.Providing technical support to the companys clients.Producing comprehensive Audit, Health & Safety and Environmental reports.Delivering Safety training courses as required.
