Job Description

Role OverviewTransport Team Manager

  • Location: Glasgow (Bellshill ML4)
  • Salary: £28,974 Per Annum +20% Shift Allowance for hours worked between 22:00 - 06:00
  • Shift Pattern:5 / 7 days per week varying shift pattern to include a mixture of days, nights and weekends
  • Contract Type: Permanent
Were currently looking for a Team Manager to join our friendly Transport Team in Glasgow In this role, you are pivotal in managing the day to day interactions in our Transport Admin Office. Youll be managing the admin processes, drivers schedules andvehicle management to ensure we are compliant with driving legislations and that we are getting our trailers out on time.Benefits:

What youll be doingReporting into the Shift Manager, youll be helping the Transport team to ensure delivery schedules are achieved. Youll be managing several key tasks including:
  • Administrative support, making sure drivers hours and absence are tracked and cover is in place.
  • Ensuring compliance of the scheduling system.
  • Managing the communication with the drivers to ensure they have the information they need to get out on time.
  • Continuous delivery of operational and customer service key performance indicators.
What you need to show usYoull already have gained experience in a similar role in the Transport sector and ideally have worked in a fast-paced office environment. It goes without saying youll be organised, have excellent attention to detail and able to manage your workload aswell as multitask. Youll be a confident communicator and team player, happy working alongside our drivers and Managers alike.It would be great if you have a good understanding of driving legislation including operators licensing and WTD and also have a CPC but this is desirable and not essential.
