The mechanical fitter supervisor will be part of the installation team working based at Bellshill, working throughout the UK and occasionally Europe. This is a long term opportunity - working on a variety of sites within the construction, heavy engineeringand blue chip manufacturing market sectors. This role requires mechanically disconnecting, match marking and reconnecting a wide range of machines, machine tools, conveyors and structure, ensuring health and safety is adhered to at all times and that issuesare resolved in a timely, effective manner.Key Responsibilities- Installation and removal of mechanical equipment, ideally with experience of lifting and handling machinery- Work closely as per risk assessments and method statements, ensuring all company and client rules are adhered to- Actively engage with management in the planning, organising and delivery of work- Assist the team with day to day operations on site- Identify site issues find a resolution and report back to the teamKey measures & targetsDeliver projects to industry standards and customers expectations, on time and to budgetPerson SpecificationEssential- Significant experience within a mechanical fitting, machine lifting and handling- Must be able to confidently and competently mechanically disconnect, match mark and reconnect a wide range of machines, machine tools, conveyors and structures- Must be confident in reading and interpreting drawings- CSCS card for Mechanical Fitter or trade papers to allow registration- Excellent communication skills- Self-motivated team member- Enthusiastic and ambitious personality- Clean driving licence- Competent in the use of machine levels, optical levels, theodolite, dial gauges etc. and marking out from datum points, line and levelling equipment in accordance with normal engineering standardsDesirable- Pipefitting/welding experience- SSSTS qualification- Manual handling training- First aid training- IPAF, Forklift Truck, Lift Supervisor, Slinger, Compact Crane training all advantageous, however training can be arranged for the right candidateHours of Work39 hours per week Monday to Friday however overtime is standard including weekends and away from home working. Candidates must have the ability and willingness to carry out regular extended hoursSalary- Hourly rate - Negotiable depending on experienceTransportationTackle van will be provided together with PPE, a competitive rate, enhanced overtime rates and guaranteed working arrangements.They are a privately owned company.
