Job Description

Lusona have an exciting opportunity to join our established logistics client based in Lanarkshire for the post of Company Accountant’. The business is going through a further period of growth and development, where it is an excellent time to join. Reportingto the Head of Finance, supporting managing the finance team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the general ledger and closing month end accordingly.
  • Producing monthly management accounts, coupled with corresponding analysis.
  • Preparing annual financial statements
  • Preparing the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Mentoring junior members of staff to develop their technical skills.
  • Supporting the external auditors with necessary information to complete the audits and statutory accounts.
  • Overseeing the completion of statutory returns, compliance and taxation matters
  • Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support various departments within the business.
  • Involvement in any ad hoc tasks as requested by the senior management team.
Applicants will be experienced Accountants with a minimum of 3 years’ experience within similar role. Ideally applicants will be qualified, however, suitably qualified by experience and part qualified candidates will also be considered. You will have a strongtechnical ability, eye for detail and confident in producing management accounts. Ideally you will have previous experience of managing a team or supporting junior members of staff. Furthermore, you will have strong excel and financial modelling skills. Itis important to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal to communicate with financial and non-financial stakeholders.This position is fully office based, where our client offers an excellent overall package, as well as supporting ongoing development.
