About the Role:In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development, growth, and maintenance of our clients business in the region. Your primary focus will be on all estimating and business development aspects of a bid, ensuring the delivery of value-engineered, high-quality,and competitive proposals in alignment with the business strategy and procedures.Key Responsibilities:

• Foster and nurture relationships with key customers, enabling growth in ground improvement markets.
• Proactively engage with key customers, building and fortifying connections.
• Conduct visits to key customers to glean feedback and deliver compelling presentations.
• Actively participate in corporate events and support award entries.
• Play a crucial role in the bid process, ensuring timely and effective production of tender deliverables.
• Collaborate with the design team on innovative solutions and risk mitigation strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive tender price schedules and documents, aligning with pricing strategy and risk assessments.
• Foster open communication with customers, maximizing opportunities and forging enduring relationships.
• Provide informed responses to customer queries, including post-tender inquiries.
• Ensure seamless handover of bid documentation to project operation and commercial teams.
• Solicit feedback from commercial and operational teams, aiding in issue resolution.
• Represent Menard in customer meetings and presentations during the tender process.
• Uphold compliance with business strategy and authority levels.
• When necessary, take the lead on live projects and gain a comprehensive understanding of operational processes.
• Emphasize value engineering in design, exploring alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with the Design Team in preparing design documents, including reports and drawings.
• Maintain an unwavering focus on safety – WORKSAFE HOMESAFE.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a geological subject, along with a valid CSCS card.
• Membership in a relevant professional body (ICE or GeolSoc) is advantageous.
• Profound technical/engineering knowledge of ground engineering processes.
• Demonstrated focus, precision, and the ability to advise senior management on urgent matters.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for forming effective partnerships under time constraints.
• Customer-centric approach, with a keen eye for potential tender opportunities.
• A drive for continuous innovation and development, centered on customer and ground engineering business needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required
