Support Assistant (Registry) x2My client is a leading organisation based in Belfast, who are currently seeking 2 experienced Support Assistants to join their team.This is a full-time, 6 month Fixed Term Contract role(with hybrid working2 days in the office and flexible working)With a salary of £22,662 - £24,948 per annumJob Purpose:You will be providing a high-quality service across the range of registry office activities. Providing initial guidance and sign-posting on other non-academic queries. You will also be responsible for delivering the full cycle of activities, such as enrolment,examinations, graduations, and maintenance of records.Essential Criteria: Evidence of good standard of literacy/numeracy as demonstrated by qualifications at GCSE Grade C or higher or by relevant work experience IT proficient with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, and SharePoint) Demonstrable experience of working with a large database to input, update check and interpret data and run reports Demonstrable experience of dealing with complex customer queries by phone, in person or by emailMain Duties and Responsibilities: Provide an efficient and effective customer service experience, dealing with queries to ensure students receive focused support and solutions Be digitally competent and frequently draw upon online resources Assist with the organisation of the businesss core high profile events i.e. registration & enrolment and examinations, and contribute to the administration of these by inputting of data, production of reports and interpretation of data for checking and processingpurposes and decision making Production of certificates and transcripts to include supporting and advising staff at partner institutions in relation to these activities Recruit, train and supervise temporary staff, student volunteers and student navigators employed to support the delivery of major events such as Welcome Week and Graduation. Distribute workload to other clerical members of staff when larger projects are delegatedfrom the Administrative Manager Operate finance systems for the input and output of data for cash receipting in the financial ledgers, ensuring data is properly and accurately processed and reconciled to the financial systems and that specified deadlines for the completion of the work ismet Maintaining, inputting and interpreting data relevant to the work of student administration including processing of student record amendment forms, module changes, examination adjustments, exemptions and updating a range of information in relation to studentrecords Requesting and running reports to interpret data to provide advice and guidance to students staff and relevant statutory organisations and to meet reporting deadlines Be responsible for the co-ordination and completion of communications to the Student Loans Company (SLC) via the portal to include analysis and interpretation of information from faculties and schools. Investigate complex individual cases which may arise,liaising with faculties, schools and SLC in order to ensure communications are accurate and processed in a timely manner Liaise with the Education Authority and other Government bodies to solve queries in relation to student records, fees and loans by telephone, email, chat and letter Make independent decisions regarding internal and external telephone, email, chat, post and in-person enquiries
