Job Description

JOB TITLE: Solution ArchitectJOB LOCATION: Aligned to Belfast Head Office; remote working availableTERMS: PermanentREQUIREMENTS: Right to work in the UK required (no sponsorship available)THE JOB Fibrus is seeking a talented Solution Architect to design and oversee the implementation of OSS and BSS. Within this newly created role, the successful candidate will work with our sales, engineering, business improvement and operations teams to developand deliver custom solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOINGYou will be involved in the end to end design, planning and implementation of our Solutions to ensure the best delivery of our broadband product to our customers, working closely with your team to design, configure, manage and trouble-shoot solutions.

  • Identify, scope and analyse business requirements and develop appropriate solution architecture designs and specifications that meet business requirements
  • Gather data in order to present proposals to Director and Senior Leadership colleagues including feasibility, timescale and cost
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Project Managers to ensure project success
  • Ensure solution architecture complies with technical standards and best practice
  • Perform risk assessments and make recommendations to minimize or mitigate risk
  • Provide technical guidance and associated coaching to development teams during implementation
  • Management of a small team of developers, responsible for workload management, performance and mentoring
WHAT WILL YOU BRINGEssential
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and services
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Knowledge of security, data management and system integration
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices
Desired
  • University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field
  • Industry certifications, eg. Azure
  • Experience with data warehousing, data lake and big data technologies
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
  • Experience within telecommunications or a similar service-led industry
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
