Our successful candidate will be someone who is friendly and positive in their approach and attitude, with the energy to instil this in others. They will be hardworking and can lead by example, being hands on themselves when necessary but ultimately with the ability to drive productivity through empowering the volunteer team. They will be able to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues, actively engaging with others and building strong working relationships. Whilst an understanding of charity retail would be preferred, we do require someone with a business mind with the ability to make confident commercial decisions using information available to them.This is a great opportunity for someone who can work with a diverse group of volunteers to create a welcoming space in our shop to attract more volunteers, donors and supporters. We are looking for someone who is driven and motivated to raise as much money as possible to help children build a better future.As a Shop Manager, we can offer you a challenging but enjoyable and hugely rewarding role. We will provide you with the right training, support and coaching you need in order to successfully motivate a team of volunteers to achieve goals and targets.Save the Children shops are at the heart of the community, providing a welcoming and positive environment for people to come together to volunteer, donate and shop (see attached Ethos).Our shop in Holywood is in the heart of the high street in this busy and vibrant area. Surrounded by an eclectic mix of boutique shops, charity retailers, coffee houses and award-winning eateries. Youll be aiming to catch the eye of the influx of day-trippers to the town as well as engaging with the local community to build a volunteer team and secure quality donations. Less than 4 miles away in East Belfast lies our Belmont Road shop.
