Following a colleague taking a new role in the business, we are seeking a Shift Manager to lead our current team. Ensuring our Distribution Centrecontinues to optimise efficiencies, with a positive attitude, helping to achieve our common goal of Our Customers.Working days 06:30 - 18:30, as part of our two-week rotational shift pattern, youll be responsible for managing all warehouse activities to add value to the business, utilising KPIs to monitor and track performance, delivering detailed reports. Resilientpeople skills are key, ensuring resources are motivated, utilised and well led, whilst maintaining performance in line with company guidelines. An ability to train your colleagues ensuring Health & Safety, Environmental & Food Safety standards are maintainedbut continually looking for improvements to strengthen our customer experience & cooperation. Youll need to supervise performance against agreed targets and challenge non-performance, as well as leading team meetings and briefings. Promote and deliver a clean,safe environment, cooperating with all colleagues and departments, whilst controlling costs, delivering to budget. Its a great development role as youll be supporting the running of the business in the absence of the leadership team.We are looking for an experienced leader from the logistics sector, who can motivate, develop & engage the team throughout, whilst ensuring company standards are maintained with a high level of accuracy. Youll need to have excellent interpersonal & communicationskills with both internal colleagues and external customers combined with strong people management skills. The ability to demonstrate you can think analytically and creatively, with a high level of planning & problem-solving skills for those day-to-day challengeswhich may arise. The environment is dynamic with focus on high performance and results, with a friendly and helpful workforce. Previous use of Warehouse Management systems would be beneficial, with an eagerness to further develop and increase responsibilitieswithin the role.
