Company OverviewOpus Technology Investors Ltd, a pioneering fintech start-up who are about to launch their quant-algo hedge fund utilising AI and ML, is seeking an innovative and strategic Senior DevOps Engineer with strong technical and organizational capabilities. Ifyou are passionate about streamlining operations, optimizing processes, don’t mind getting your hands dirty as part of a tiny team to start, and are keen to grow into a leadership role, this might be the ideal position for you.Key Responsibilities1. Collaborate with software architects and developers to create robust, scalable, and secure designs for cloud implementation.2. Manage and streamline our deployment pipelines through automation tools.3. Implement and manage CI/CD processes using technologies like Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.4. Write infrastructure as code (IAC) to automate the provisioning and management of our cloud resources on Azure.5. Contribute to development of the main platform as it becomes more distributed.6. Develop and maintain system-level applications to ensure efficient performance.7. Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.8. Develop scripts for automating client/server functions by using .NET scripting languages.9. Implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, and security.10. Assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.11. Help grow the team, and then provide mentorship, guidance, and potentially leadership to junior-level engineers as you progress to Engineering Manager in charge of implementing our product platform.12. Contribute to the growth of our DevOps culture.Required Qualifications1. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.2. Strong knowledge and at least 5 years of experience (more is better) in Windows and Linux,Azure,IAC, Terraform, Ansible, Docker/Compose/Kubernetes, Prometheus, PowerShell, shell scripts andC# (.NET Core). SQL Server is also an advantage, as is experiencein full-stack development.3. Proven experience as a senior software engineer or DevOps engineer in a comparable role.4. Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.5. Demonstrated understanding of containerization technologies and principles.6. A deep understanding of coding, scripting, server administration, and network systems.7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:1. Microsoft Azure certifications.2. Experience with other major public cloud services, such as AWS or Google Cloud.3. Experience in the finance industry, especially trading currency futures and future options.4. Proven experience managing and developing remote high-performing teams.
