Job Description

OverviewResponsible for supporting to the Senior Manager to ensure the effective operation of the team on a day to day basis, with the aim of ensuring the effective operation of and maximising recovery of the assigned portfolio.Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Asset Managers in the delivery of agreed recovery strategy, ensuring all team actions are aligned with relevant internal or legislative policies.
  • Manage own portfolio of Connections in accordance with the clients work out strategy and the prevailing regulatory code.
  • Implement and champion a best practice approach to ensure the application of all Link Compliance procedures across the mandate and wider platform.
  • Conduct due diligence on the assigned loan portfolio and assist in formulating and recommending the optimal strategy for maximising loan recovery.
  • Preparation of key strategic approval papers, ensuring that submissions are accurate, succinct and in line with our Private Equity client expectations.
  • Manage borrower / professional meetings and act as point of contact for any escalation of issues from clients, financial advisors and other advisors.
  • Ensure that agreed team targets / goals are delivered in line with client expectation.
  • Ensure team compliance with required MI output, in line with client and internal expectations.
  • Provide mentoring support to Asset Managers and other team members to maximise team performance and help promote staff development.
  • Champion new business key initiates to include Compliance, PEGA, etc
Experience & Personal Attributes
  • At least 12 months experience working with a Private Equity client.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with proven ability to review interpret and analyse audited financial accounts, management accounts and financial forecasts.
  • Significant experience in credit analysis and associated loan documentation, coupled with a strong background in managing complex problem cases.
  • Proven experience in management of recovery cases.
  • Strong negotiator with experience of working in a client facing role and of negotiating with distressed borrowers and their advisors
  • Relevant experience of restructuring facilities from cradle to grave including the insolvency process and previous experience incorporating liquidation, receivership, administration and examinership would be a distinct advantage.
  • Foster a productive team environment with the ability to motivate and people manage all team members on an equitable basis
  • Effective communicator, influencer, and negotiator with an ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Demonstrate an organised approach to work, and an ability to prioritise and reprioritise to ensure critical tasks are delivered accurately
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages
