DescriptionAn excellent opportunity has become available for an ambitious graduate to join CME Group as Oracle Database Engineer. The role would suit a recent graduate who has gained experience of Oracle Databases as part of their degree, or a more experienced professionalwho is looking to accelerate their career with a global financial technology leader. The Database Engineer designs & provides tech support of databases for specific user requirements by developing, implementing, & maintaining data specs, designs, integration, testing, & documentation. S/he collaborates with business owners & contributes totranslating business processes into logical designs using data modeling & physical model creation. The incumbent creates, implements, & reviews complex database structures for assigned systems to meet business & compliance requirements. Principal Accountabilities: Ensures data ownership and compliance across the applications. Identifies technical support and resource issues that may affect database functionality, integrity, and performance. Interfaces with customers to understand critical business processes and identify database design factors. Maintains data propagation across the organization based on data capture, data processing, reporting and analytics, data backup and recovery, data access/conflict resolution and data integrity needs while minimizing redundancy. Maintains databases and supports initialization of new database systems for which new applications are being planned and incorporated. Implements patch and upgrades as needed. Performs development and implementation of data specifications, designs, integration, testing, and documentation. Reviews and proposes solutions for new database system requirements.
