Job Description

Junior Web DesignerAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Junior Web Designer based in Belfast. The successful candidate will earn £21,000 - £30,000.This is a hands-on Front End Web Design/Development role with a lot of creative autonomy. If you are a web designer and want to flex more of your technical knowhow. This role could be for you.Role Requirements

  • The employer will consider a college graduate with some experience up for this role in their expanding team

  • Work collaboratively cross-team
  • Good communicator
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Open and creative approach to solving problems with technical solutions
  • Code solutions in, HTML and CSS & JS where possible
  • Be familiar with the fundamentals of Wordpress and Gutenberg blocks
  • Work with clients to understand their requirements and keep them updated on progress
  • Present design ideas to clients
  • Receive feedback from clients about draft sites and make any necessary adjustments
  • Design the physical imagery, graphics and animations of new websites
  • Ensure the ‘look’ of new websites adheres to company branding and client requirements
  • Test new websites to ensure everything is working and review on a number of different devices
  • Present clients with finished websites
  • Redesign websites and debug code
  • Work on search engine optimisation (SEO) and performance (Google Page Speed)
  • Keep up to date with software and technology developments
  • Experience of other platforms such as Wix, Shopify, etc is a benefit
