Junior Software Developer: Excellent Permanent Opportunity: BelfastREED Technology are excited to be representing our expanding, specialist client who are recruiting for a Junior Software Developer to join their growing team.This role will suit a passionate individual who strives to deliver projects both on time and on budget within an Agile software development team using the latest technologies.The successful individual will be a hard-working, independent logical thinker who enjoys working in a fast-paced Software Development environment.Candidate applying for this role should have the following:Essential Criteria- A positive “can do” attitude; and a Bachelor (Hons) degree in a computing related degree OR a clear and proven track record of success- Up to 2 years’ commercial experience in any of the following C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, Entity Framework, REST API & web services- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming- Write well designed, testable, efficient code and an awareness of best software development practices and programming principles- Solid knowledge of relational database design and experience with Microsoft SQL- Awareness of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices- Awareness of unit and integration testing and the purpose of test scripts- Attention to detail, time-management skills, and to accurately estimate time for tasks- Strong interest in new technologies and concepts with the ability to pick them up quickly and apply them to client projectsYour key responsibilities:- Contribution to multiple areas, such as technical analysis, solution design, user experience design, development, testing, implementation, and deployment.- Applying change control processes.- Reporting to project manager on project progress.- Create and maintain software documentation.- Assist in code reviews to maintain project quality.If you feel you can demonstrate all of the above and are also confident and friendly, have the ability to create good working relationship with the client and internal project teams we want to hear from you ASAP!Our client promotes a result-driven environment and offers strong team ethos within a problem-solving and analytical environment.In return you will be rewarded numerically and also mentored to progress within your career with our client and your own personal career goals / development.
