REED HR are delighted to work with our high profile client in Belfast City Centre who wishes to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner for a 2 year contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join this organisation embarking on an exciting period ofchangeThe HR Business Partner will work closely with business unit managers in order to deliver a proactive and quality HR service. This will be achieved through a partnership approach - supporting and coaching managers in the effective management of their teamsKEY FUNCTIONS Prepare short and medium-term HR plans for each unit / team that supports the HR and organisation strategy Develop effective working relationships with each Unit Implement policies and procedures througheffective communication of revised handbook and briefing of managers of key aspects of policies Develop knowledge and skills ofmanagers in the effective management of team Coach and support managers (in NI and ROI) through any potential ER issues Review and update policies in both jurisdictionsas required Support managers in the delivery of an effective performance management process Collate essential HR information into MI reports Drive transformation and change to maximize the capability of the staff at all levelsand ensure HR services are delivered to drive business performanceRESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Support Workwith management teams in each unit, develop an understanding of the function, the challenges, and opportunities Develop an annual plan outlining key activities to be undertaken in each unit Monitor the plan with each management team, tracking progress and delegating activities to managers Play an active role in organisational development including ensuring a strategic approach to HR elements of organisational change and developmentEmployee Relations Guide and support managers in the proactive management of ERissues Guide and support managers in applying grievance, discipline and other performance related matters Direct managers on HR issues, employment legislation and employee relations matters Promote equality of opportunity across the organisation supported by appropriate policies and procedures Update policies and procedures by legislation or best practice and communicate accordinglyPerformance Management Guide and support managers in the effective implementation of the performance management process Coach managers to effectively communicate with staff Support the collation of meaningful and relevant development requestsAdministration Maintain HR systems Ensure effective management of admin activities Maintain high standards of confidentiality at all timesGeneral Provision of ad hoc support and advice to HR Manager and Director ofServices Input to the strategy, management and direction of the organisation through constructive input to the Management TeamEssential Criteria CIPD qualified with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar HR role In-depth knowledge and experience of leading on Employee Relations issues andcurrent knowledge of NI & ROI Employment legislation Strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive effective performance management processes Experience of leading people on organisational change and development Ability to provide effective coaching, guidance and support to teams on HR best practice Strong communication, organisation, administration and IT skills
