Job Description

Midas Personal Lines is a dynamic and fast-growing specialist underwriting business who are excited to be looking to hire a Database Engineer to join our team. Are you an experienced database engineer looking to join a dynamic and challenging business whoare focused on caring about their people and customers, where your skills and knowledge will be developed within a highly skilled team who are passionate about what they do and where diversity is celebrated Then this is the role for you!The successful candidate will have great levels of engagement and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and Senior Management. The role requires the ability to develop and support both existing and new applications and to facilitatethe business in its next phase of growth.What we are looking from you is:

  • At least 5+ years experience in a Database Engineer/DBA role
  • Familiarity with complex SQL Server scaling concepts
  • High level of competency in MS SQL
  • High level of competence in ETL tools e.g., Alteryx, MS SSIS
  • Data Visualisation skills within Power BI, Tableau or similar
  • Integration of data from multiple sources
  • Knowledge and experience of Data Bricks and Azure Data Lakes
