Job Description

We are recruiting experienced Cloud Data Engineers in Belfast to work with a software house to develop, deploy and maintain bespoke products for tier one clients- working with a Big 4 company to connect creativity with technology to drive business needs.This tech house brings ideas and experience into digital transformation, they help advance customer and design-centric thinking to develop strategy to execution. What you will be doing as a Cloud Data Engineer:
  • design and delivery of data solutions such as ETL components, data warehousing, reporting solutions, data migration or data virtualisation solutions
  • Being hands on with the data from the initial concept and the assessment
  • Supporting the future pipeline of work, from design to sales, through to setup and delivery
  • You will provide specialist industry knowledge in Data & analytics domain to their specialist clients
The skills needed to be a Cloud Data Engineer
  • Development of solutions in cloud environments (AWS or AZURE)
  • Experience using tools such as (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Amazon redshift, google big query or Oracle
  • The ability to build data solutions and provide perspective on storage options (Spark, SQL Server VS Blob store, AWS Lambda
  • Working with data lake and warehouse solutions such as (Azure(ADLS, HD insight, Azure analytics services)
  • Data migration design and build including migration strategy and approach, source & target system analysis and mapping, ETL development and data reconciliation
  • Must have hands on experience of micro services architecture (Docker or Kubernetes)
  • Data architecture and modelling (including ETL, star schema, SCD, MDM, Kimball, Inmon, data lakes)
