Are you looking for a rewarding career in the insurance industryDo you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for fraud investigationIf so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!Job Title: Claims Fraud Investigator Location: Hybrid Working - 2/3 days office based in Belfast City CentreSalary: Our client offers a competitive salary of between £24,558 (room for negotiation depending on experience)Contract Type: Permanent, Full TimeOne of the world’s leading insurance companies with a strong presence in the UK and Ireland. Who offer a range of products and services to customers, including motor, property, SME, and agri insurance.The business is growing across Northern Ireland, and they are looking for a Claims Fraud Investigator to join our NI Claims team and help us deter, detect, and investigate fraud in all areas of our business, especially in claims.This is a permanent role, with a competitive salary and hybrid working. You will receive all the support you need to develop your skills and career with us. You will work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visitingclients or attending industry events.As a Claims Fraud Investigator, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing red flag referrals from claims handlers within the agreed service level
  • Proactively investigating potential fraud in claims using predefined processes and procedures as well as your own initiative
  • Maintaining SIU case management system and relevant spreadsheets
  • Preparing cases for court and instructing panel solicitors
  • Delivering excellence in customer service, both internally and externally
  • Maintaining relationships within the company and with external service providers
  • Investigating potential fraud in other areas of the company as required
  • Providing reports and updates as required
  • Undertaking department and cross functional projects as necessary
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • 2 years’ experience of insurance claims or 2 years’ experience of claims/fraud investigations
  • CII and/or 3rd level business or insurance qualification
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, claims handling procedures, SIU investigation procedures, and our products
  • Working knowledge of the legal jurisdiction in fraud
  • Inquisitive and enquiring mindset
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Working knowledge of CPC and Data Protection Guidelines
