  • Governance: Advising on, monitoring, and governing enterprise data. Owning the data journey for all data within our business and protection of all our client data and proprietary data.
  • Operations: Enabling data usability, availability, and efficiency.
  • Innovation: Driving enterprise digital transformation innovation, cost reduction, and revenue generation.
  • Analytics: Supporting analytics and reporting on products, customers, operations, and markets.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensuring out compliance with laws, regulations, and contractual compliance. Ensuring legal protection for all our data and its usage.
  • Commercialisation: Commercialisation of our proprietary data sets; and
  • Strategy: Spearheading a strategy to ensure the organisation is getting the most from this asset.
Chief Data Officer - Personal Specification:
  • You will be adaptable and hard-working and demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • You will deliver the support and the operational excellence in accordance with the Company Mission and Vision, and in a manner supportive of the Funds-Axis Values and Business Culture.
  • You will have a strong understanding of financial services and financial markets data
  • You will have a string background in enterprise data management, including data validation scrubbing, enrichment, data quality measurement. You will have 7+ years, experience managing teams.
  • You will have strong knowledge and expertise technology and automations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners.
  • Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, EXCEL, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.
  • Excellent writing, editing, grammatical, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work with a broad range of people including Board members, colleagues, Managing Director, staff, and others.
  • Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
