Job Description

Well established CNC organisation, providing services to industrial, automotive and retail sectors, requires an experienced CAD Technician to join their busy team. Based in Belbroughton, offering attractive working environment, competitive salary range and permanent contract, this role will suit a candidate with previous experience as a CAD Technician, seeking a new challenge and progression.Reporting directly to the Head of Design and Technical, as CAD Technician, your role will be to:

  • Create CAD files from drawings, sketches or dimensions provided, ensuring all drawings are correct & accurate
  • Help compile quotations, issue them to customers, and to answer associated queries
  • Assist with enquiries, logging & recording, along with Purchase Orders received
  • Be first point of customer contact, managing existing relations & building new ones
  • Share responsibility for FSC, continuing to ensure adherence to all requirements
  • Management of FSC audit, including preparation, liaison and post audit action
Skills and Attributes required by CAD Technician:
  • Knowledge & experience of all aspects of Auto CAD, ArtCAM, Illustrator, Toolpath (Training can be provided to import files to ArtCAM, and program as required)
  • Experience of AXYZ CNC machines & programming in V carve (desirable)
  • Understanding drawings of 2D components
  • Experience of working in a busy, high pressured environment, in a customer facing role
  • Experience of successfully managing own time, with ability to prioritise tasks, and ensure deadlines are achieved, with a high quality of work being delivered
  • IT literate with experience of all MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to engage with people at all levels, with a positive can do attitude
  • Good eye for detail & ability to pick up errors or inconsistencies
Hours of Work: 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pmSalary: £26,000 p.a. to £32,000 p.a.Location: BelbroughtonContract: PermanentImmediate start available for role of CAD Technician, so please APPLY TODAY!
