Our International Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for arranging exports to our customers in Europe and the rest of the world, cross-trade fromour warehouses in Europe, booking international haulage, issuing accurate export documentation, and maintaining company records for customs compliance.Working closely with other departments in the company, you will ensure that orders dispatch on time and that we receive the required customs paperwork. With a varied and interesting workload, every day will provide you with a different challenge and we arelooking for somebody to take on this role and further develop it as their own.Job type: Full time, permanentLocation: Office based - S20, Sheffield (Hybrid available after probation)What youll be doing

• Generating export paperwork, including dangerous goods notes
• Arranging exports to customers based in Europe, North America, Africa, Middle East and Asia
• Managing the planning and coordination of shipments into Europe through Pricecheck Belgium
• Coordinating imports into Belgium and onward shipments into Europe
• Checking export declarations and highlighting discrepancies
• Tracking shipments on Excel spreadsheets to demonstrate control of exports to meet HMRC requirements and other company standards
• Liaising with freight forwarders to arrange collection of exports and imports and requesting freight quotations
• Follow up with customers and freight forwarders for proofs of delivery and customs entries
• Coordinating exports with the Warehouse teams
• Providing support to the International Logistics team when needed, including holiday cover for day to day imports and exports requirements

What were looking forEssential requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role in international trade, shipping exports outside of Europe
• Knowledge and understanding of the change in procedures to ship into Europe following Brexit
• Experience of negotiating and liaising with global freight forwarders for all modes of transport
• Excellent communication skills both spoken and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a critical eye for detail
• Ability to manage their own workload and work on their own initiative
• Proactive, highly motivated and enjoys working as part of a team
• Commitment to continuous development, for self and the business
• As you will be joining a small team, a willingness to get stuck in is required!

Desirable requirements

• Relevant, professional qualification in international trade, eg ITOPS, IoE etc
• Working knowledge of Incoterms 2020
• Understanding customs procedures for imports and exports
• Experience managing imports into the UK and Europe
• Experience in working with hazardous goods
