Job Description

Do you want to work for a multi-award-winning international wholesalerPricecheck is a distributor of fast-moving consumer goods, stocking more than 8,000 branded products from health & beauty, fragrance and toiletries to grocery, alcohol, household and vaping.Were one of the UKs fastest growing wholesale companies and we are continuously looking for talented individuals to join our 300-strong team and help us continue our growth.Role overviewWe are excited to be recruiting for a newly created position within our Finance team which will play a major part in driving forward our ambitious growth targets to grow from £100m to £200m in the next five years. We plan to grow this new team over the comingyear, so were looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make the role their own.As our Financial Planning & Analysis Manager your role primarily involves the budgeting, forecasting and analytical processes that support Pricechecks financial health and business strategy. You report into the Financial Controller to provide analyticalreporting, working to improve and streamline commercial business processes and feeding key information back to the board of Directors.What you will be doing

  • Directly overseeing technical project requests as they arrive, managing the pipeline of requests whilst gathering briefs and providing estimations on timeframe/work involved
  • Creating monthly and annual reports as necessary, identifying results, trends, and financial forecasts.
  • Streamlining and improving accounting systems and operations, searching out where efficiencies can be made
  • Creation of analysis artefacts as required
  • Identifying solutions to business issues, and looking for potential opportunities
  • Working with the wider business including Business Change and IT to agree appropriate solutions
  • Supporting project management and wider departmental processes
  • Assisting in the implementation and adoption of agile tools and techniques
  • Supporting the Financial Controller/Director with all financial planning, forecasting and analysis across the business
  • Ownership of performance management reporting for the business, including identifying and reporting KPIs which are linked to company strategy
  • Financial projects - developing background systems and front-end reporting
  • Escalating potential risks and obstacles before they become an issue and taking mitigating actions
  • Effectively communicating financial data to non-financial managers
Essential requirements
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
  • Confident in elicitation, analysis, and communication of requirements
  • Logically minded with an analytical and creative approach to problems
  • A continuous drive to participate in incremental learning to encourage innovation within the department and wider company.
  • A strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of current issues affecting Pricecheck, the industry and its technologies.
  • Advanced Excel ability for building clean infrastructure around reporting to support management information and reporting initiatives
  • Data integration - Is comfortable compiling and analysing large data sets from different systems/sources, SQL fluency.
