Job Description

We are recruiting to a number of roles for our Supported Living service in Sheffield.The service supports people with complex mental health conditions to regain their skills to live independently in the community and pursue their life aspirations.You do not need to have previous experience of working in the field of mental health. We are looking for people with the right values, and an aspiration to help others improve their lives. If you are seeking an opportunity to start or progress a career inthe Care and Support and are people oriented, get in touch.This roleThis is a flexible role for a Care & Support Worker Bank Worker to join our bank in Sheffield. While weekly hours are not guaranteed, the benefit of this role is that we can offer you the flexibility to fit with your circumstances.As bank worker you will be required to provide support to encourage independent living of our customers in a supported housing scheme in Sheffield for customers living with mental ill health. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -

  • Encouraging good hygiene habits
  • Supporting customers in keeping their independent flats in good condition
  • Supporting customers in managing their own health care
  • Day to day living skills such as food preparation and shopping
  • Supporting customers with managing their finances and tenancies
  • Following and updating support plans
  • Managing medication
  • Supporting customers to transition into full independent living
Salary - £11.09 per hourWhat you`ll need to succeedExperience in a similar housing management role is desirable. Any experience of supporting adults with mental health problems would be an advantage. You will need to be able to work independently and have the confidence to deal with customers who may actin an unpredictable manner.
