Job Description

Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing is one of the UK`s leading providers of affordable housing and care and support services. We employ over 1900 people to manage and develop our large portfolio of nearly 56,000 homes serving over 75,000 customers acrossLondon, the East Midlands, Southern and the East of England.MTVH are a Strategic Partner of both Homes England and the GLA with an ambitious programme to deliver in excess of 1,500 homes per year.This roleOperating across the East Midlands patch, you will be working within MTVHs Development Directorate to source and secure desirable short/medium/long term residential development opportunities to deliver MTVHs growth ambitions in line with the business planand development strategy.What youll need to succeed

  • 5-10 years experience of large-scale residential property development for a Housing Association, Developer, Housebuilder, investor or similar;
  • Proven track record of identifying and securing land & S106 deals;
  • Comprehensive understanding of property law and the planning process;
  • Comprehensive understanding of affordable housing products;
  • Proven track record of securing planning permissions;
  • Commercial understanding of structuring property transactions;
  • Excellent at building networks and building sound external and internal relationships with relevant partners;
  • Strong intellect with the ability to analyse and act upon complex financial and non-financial information and reach speedy well-formed conclusions;
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Demonstrable leadership skills; and
  • Proficient in the use of financial appraisal software
  • Full driving licence
