Registered NurseService Name: Devonshire AvenueLocation: Nottinghamshire, NG9 1BSSalary: £23,716.00 Pro rata for Hours workedHours: Part time - *Sunday Nights* - With the possibility of picking up more Night shifts and Day shifts.Benefits:

Ambient Support is a registered UK charity with over 25 years experience in providing care and support services for older people, people with a mental health need and people with a learning disability.To ensure that the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Ambient Supports policies and procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards. To provide physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to the service users within the scheme. Toencourage service users to achieve maximum independence where possible.Our Registered Nurse needs:Training and Professional Development
  • All Nursesmust be prepared to attend training, team meetings and supervision during day waking hours.
  • As a Registered Nurse you will be expected to assist with the induction of new staff, guiding them through systems, policies, procedures and care standards.
  • To take an active responsibility for own continuing professional development and competence.
  • To provide support and guidance for less qualified /less senior staff.
  • To keep abreast of all new legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to the scheme and to ensure effective communication of the same to staff.
  • To adhere to all statutory requirements, good practice and NMC guidelines.
  • To assist in the selection, recruitment and induction of staff to other positions as required.
Public and Community Relations
  • To develop community confidence in and promote a positive reputation and public image of the Scheme at all times and to help market it where appropriate.
  • To act at all times in a way that presents a positive image of the post-holder and Ambient Support.
Our Registered Nurse duties will be:
  • To ensure that all staff play their part in helping to make the scheme a happy place for all service users, and a positive workplace for all staff.
  • To provide direct nursing care.
  • To provide direct personal care and act as role model.
  • To ensure that good quality records, care plans (CP) and individual programme plans (IPP) are completed, maintained and reviewed, as often as is needed, in line with their needs and circumstances.To ensure that this is achieved whilst promoting independenceand choice, and in partnership with service users, relatives, colleagues and other professionals.To ensure that records are timely, accurate, and relevant, in compliance with statutory requirements and NMC guidelines.
  • To ensure that all service users receive well planned and good quality care in accordance with their agreed individual care plan and Ambient Supports policies, and have the opportunity to enjoy a good quality of life.
  • To monitor health care needs of the service user, ensuring dietary needs are met and choices offered; to report ill health and make requests for intervention by GPs andother health care professionals where appropriate.
  • To ensure that other services are used appropriately for the benefit of the service user and to ensure the quality of service provided by the scheme.
  • To Administer medication as prescribed by the GP in accordance with Ambient Supports policies and NMC guidelines.
  • To ensure that the general cleanliness of the scheme is maintained.
  • To respond and act accordingly and with compassion to the spiritual, emotional, physical and psychological needs of the individual service users.
  • To review and update care plans and risk assessments etc.
Our Learning Disability services range from residential care homes through to supported living, short breaks, respite and day services. We also help young people, and their families, transition from childrens services to adult support settings.
