A successful & growing business that has been operating for over thirty years is looking for a bright and motivated Payroll Assistantto be based in the Beeston area, Nottinghamshire (commutable from Leicestershire, Derbyshire and parts of Lincolnshire).As part of a small, busy payroll team, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing the payroll for approximately 400 UK staff. Duties will include processing all new starter and leaver changes, calculating statutory payments, reconciling payroll accounts, managing expenses as well as working closely with Finance and HR teams. The successful incumbent will be involved in the project to source, test and embed a new Payroll solution.In order to be suitable for this position you will have proven high-volume payroll experience in a medium-sized business. It is essential to have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good knowledge of Payroll solutions (Sage, Snowdrop, Quickbooks, Access or similar) and Excel. The ideal candidate will also possess, or be working towards, a Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) certification, however this is not essential.This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing company offering great career prospects.
