Job Description

About Our ClientBroxtowe Borough Council serves Beeston Stapleford, Kimberley and Eastwood and surrounding areas, and holds a range of asset classes in its portfolio, 4,500 social housing units, operational properties, a large part of Beeston Town Centre including a recently-completedcinema & restaurant development, business premises and corporate offices. The Team is 65 strong and provides estates management, project management and facilities management services across all council departments bringing industry best practice to supportthe cost-effective delivery of core businesses.Job DescriptionThis role reports to the Deputy Chief Executive and has overall responsibility for the Asset Management and Development function. You will create and implement strategic asset management of a diverse real estate portfolio, looking after all estates managementresponsibilities. Decarbonisation is a key focus and will be a significant element in this role. You will provide a high level of customer satisfaction in the delivery of responsive & planned housing maintenance & repair, and deliver substantial capital developmentprojects - directly and in commercial partnership.You will manage in-house teams and external contractors, suppliers & consultants, so establishing effective working relationships with colleagues, Members and external stakeholders at all levels will be an essential part of this role. You will be expectedto achieve a high standard of diplomacy and political sensitivity.The Successful Applicant
