An opportunity has arisen for 1 full time and one job share part time permanent posts with the Home Improvement Service at Northumberland County Council . The role will require the ability to carry out technical surveys, produce detailed specifications andplans and assess fair cost of works to ensure major adaptations such as level access showers, through floor lifts, bedrooms etc can be safely installed within the homes of elderly and disabled service users and families of disabled children residents acrossthe county. The role has responsibility for management of projects to ensure safety of contractors and service users where construction is underway, adhering to health and safety legislation and requirement, providing professional and technical support onall related issues.Car driver is essential.
