Job Description

Job Role: Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover)Location: Newcastle upon Tyne NE63Start Date: Jan 2024 – Aug 2024Contract Type: Full Time/Long TermPay Scale: £28,000 - £43,685Commutable Areas: Newcastle upon Tyne, Morpeth, Bedlington.Reed Education are currently working with Primary schools in Newcastle upon Tyne to support them with recruiting a full-time qualified Primary Teacher to be based on-site.Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are suitable to the current curriculum and help create a positive learning environment.
  • Liaise with other members of staff such as teachers, support staff and department heads to ensure that the pupils needs are being met.
  • Have a knowledge of current educational thinking and strategies to raise attainment and be passionate about building positive relationships with young people to help them succeed.
  • Ensure any necessary documentation is completed in line with policy and procedure.
  • Support children in their learning and development by encouraging them to explore new interests during lessons.
Qualifications:
  • QTS Degree or Equivalent Degree.
  • Prior experience in teaching KS1 and KS2 Children.
  • Has high expectations for children’s attainment and behavior.
  • Has a clear understanding of what constitutes excellent teaching and learning.
  • A firm belief and strong commitment to inclusive education.
  • A clear understanding of how children are motivated and learn effectively.
