An exciting opportunity has arrived in the Bedlington; we are currently looking for experienced children support workers who have a learning disabilities background in working with children and young people for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year. They are lookingfor immediate starters to assist with holidays, current vacancies, and short/long term absences.You will be providing and promote person-centred care and support on a 2:1 ratio caring for a child who have learning and physical disabilities, behaviours that might challenge and require differing levels of support; to meet a range of complex social and healthneeds. You will be undertaking tasks as detailed within a persons care plan, providing care and support to enable people to achieve their maximum level of independence through appropriate physical, emotional and psychological support.What well need from you:" Ability to work within alone and in a team." Ability to monitor and ensure the safety and security of the residents." An understanding of challenging behaviour is preferred." Must have an approachable, proactive, and friendly attitude towards work." Understanding of learning disabilities." 6 months - 1 years experience working with Children or Young People."
