Experienced Lighting DesignerEast Sussex£20,000 - £35,000 per annumOur client is looking for a creative minded individual to join their team, providing innovative lighting design in the residential, hospitality, retail and commercial project sectors.The successful candidate will be confident, hardworking, have a keen interest in design, be able to work well as part of a small team and have experience of using Dialux and AutoCAD software.Candidate Requirements:- Experience working as a designer at any level in a lighting design house, engineering practice, lighting manufacturer or distributor- Knowledge of using established techniques to deliver lighting solutions- Ability to communicate clearly in writing- Confidence in talking to clients on the phone and in person- Good attention to detail- Creative flair and an interest in design- The ability to visualise concepts and explain them to others- Being organised enough to run several projects concurrentlyResponsibilities:- Work as part of a team to create lighting design projects from start to finishCollaborating directly with clients, other design professionals and installers to bring the project to completion- Producing lighting concept presentation documents, schedules and specifications using PowerPoint and Excel- Produce CAD drawings of lighting layouts in AutoCAD- Prepare detailed plans for lighting calculations using design applications (Mainly Dialux, but occasionally Relux and AGI32)Skills/Attributes that would be beneficial but not essential:- Proficiency in using MS Office software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team- Project managementThe position would be based in their design studio in Battle, East Sussex, but with the opportunity to travel to visit clients and project sites in the UK (driving licence may be required) and to visit manufacturers and attend trade events in the UK andabroad.-OTE £20,000 to £35,000 depending on experience-Flexible working arrangements may be negotiated-Contributory pension scheme with option of opt-out-Travelling expenses paidTo be considered for this role, apply with your CV today!
