They’ve grown significantly over the last few years and are now looking torecruit a Systems Engineer to join the team.What you’ll be doing:This is a hybrid role, so you’ll be based in the office in Bath for at least half the week. It’s a highly collaborative environment with an agile, open working culture, and a flat structure with shared responsibility and reward for success. You’ll be workingclosely alongside a systems team of 7 people that are responsible for the security, stability, and uptime of production, staging, and development environments. You’ll monitor these environments and resolve alerts and issues that arise in the day-to-day operationsof their product line, and ensure the maintenance of network, server, and storage assets in data centre environments. Taking advantage of the latest technologies available, you’ll also provide ongoing upgrades and improvements to infrastructure and processes.The skills we’re looking for:
  • Practical experience working with networking technologies such as subnetting, VLANS, routing etc.
  • Linux administration (specifically RHEL derivatives) including automation solutions (Ansible/Chef/Puppet).
  • LAMP/LNMP stack.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to organise your own work and time effectively.
Bonus points for:
  • VCS (such as Git).
  • Previous experience working in a Scrum team, adopting the Agile methodology.
  • Scripting skills e.g. Bash, Python, Perl.
  • MySQL database administration experience.
  • Knowledge of network security.
  • Practical experience of using AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code technologies like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Any experience working within the health/mental health sector, or an interest in this industry.
