Summary We are looking for a Senior Volunteering & Community Officer to join our team at Bath Assembly Rooms. This beautiful Grade 1 listed building, known for music, parties, dancing and entertainment during Baths Georgian heyday, has been owned by the National Trust since 1931, but we will be responsiblefor managing its operation for the first time from 2023.We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy access to the Assembly Rooms. To achieve this, we need to reach new audiences and volunteers, particularly those from diverse backgrounds, in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them. Our project team are workingto develop a new visitor experience to interpret this important building, alongside a programme of community engagement and participation.You will be part of both the project team and the new property team at Bath Assembly Rooms. Youll work closely with the Senior Visitor Experience Officer and report to the Volunteering and Community Manager.Bath Assembly Rooms sits within the National Trust Bath Portfolio which also includes Dyrham Park, Prior Park Landscape Garden, Bath Skyline and Bathampton Meadows. What youll be doing Were eager to ensure that volunteers and communities have a voice in the Bath Assembly Rooms, both in the planning and development, and in the day-to-day running of the Rooms. Youll be part of the project team, working collaboratively to embed communityengagementinto our ways of working, increasing involvement, developing and implementing new approaches to volunteering, and ensuring local participation continues to be a part of the visitor offer.As we develop our relationships with local organisations and community groups, youll work with colleagues to ensure the experience of all volunteers, communities and partners is positive, flexible, inclusive and safe. Youll be working on-the-ground tofacilitate activity in Bath Assembly Rooms, as well as outreach work across the city.Working with the wider team, you will help to shape and deliver a long-term plan for volunteer and community participation and engagement at Bath Assembly Rooms.
