Job Description

Project Installation Manager required. Our client is an established Renewable Energy company specialising in Battery Storage, Heat Pumps, Biomass and Solar PV. They are looking for a Solar Project Installation Manager to join the team dueto the growth of the business.Successful candidates will have 3 years+ experience in a similar role overseeing a team of Renewable Engineers as well as coordinating and delivering solar PV installation projects (ideally). This work is mainly on a commercial basis ranging between 100kw-3MW.Project Installation Manager Position Overview

  • Managing up to £5 million in projects a year with projects varying from 100kw-3MW in the commercial/agricultural sector.
  • Planning and scheduling to ensure delivery of behind-the-meter renewable energy construction projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Preconstruction site assessments including all aspects of CDM and EHS regulations.
  • Agree and confirm installation and electrical designs in partnership with Technical Project Manager, Install sub-contractor and our suppliers.
  • Review accuracy of submitted plans
  • Coordinate site activities with the clients and sub-contractors to ensure works are properly managed and communicated between relevant parties
  • Ensure the Sub Contractor is following the construction procedures that ensure projects achieve the highest quality and H&S standards
  • Recording of site issues and ensuring issues are closed in a timely manner
  • Coordination of site commissioning plans, ensuring sub-contractors have a robust plan that cascades through to all the relevant parties
  • Ensure the sub-contractors compile all necessary build documentation
  • Actively manage key sub-contractor relationships to ensure highest quality project delivery and H&S standards are maintained through regular reviews and value assessment
  • Implementation and management of remote monitoring equipment
  • Supplier Management and Procurement
  • Actively manage supplier base and supplier relationships to ensure effective balance between value and service
  • Actively manage supplier base to ensure highest quality customer service is provided and maintained through regular reviews and value assessments
  • Support Technical Sales Manager with customer quotes to provide
Project Installation Manager Position Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • 18th edition, CSCS card and Electrical qualifications required
  • Happy to stay away potentially 1-2 days a week and travel nationwide.
Project Installation Manager Position Remuneration
  • 50-60k DOE, potentially higher.
  • Pension 7% Employer Contribution

  • Working hours: 40 hours
