Plumbing and Heating (Gas) Assessor/Trainer Pay scale £21,211 - £32,746 annual salary based on 37 hours Role is part time 15 hours per week Permanent role Bath and Somer Valley plus some travel to workplaces Responsible to: Apprenticeships Manager Responsible for: ApprenticesNB - due to COVID 19 this role will be based mainly from home until it is safe to return to the classroom so candidates do need to be familar and confident with delivering on line teaching initially until classroom teaching can resume fully . The role will then be a mixture of classroom delivery and on site observations in the workplace This is a great role for an assessor/ trainer to join an inclusive education and training community, providing learning for people with a wide range of abilities. I am looking for a motivated and organised, team player, passionate about developing and supporting opportunities for apprentices. You will work with the Apprenticeship Manager to deliver a high quality wood occupation apprenticeship programme including classroom and workshop theory and practical teaching. As well onsite (employer based) assements and reviews to apprentices.You will deliver the new apprenticeship standards as set down by the Apprenticeship Institute and End-Point Assessment criteria You will manage, review, assess and train a caseload of apprentices who are based in the college and workplace and are currently undertaking Apprenticeships. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experienceLevel 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade B or above Qualified to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a heating and plumbing discipline.Assessor qualification TAQA , A1 or eqivalent or to demonstrate a commitment to complete the TAQA Assessor Award Indusrty qualifications must include:CENWAT (Domestic Boilers etc)CCN/1 (Domestic Core Safety)CKR (Cookers)HTR1 (Domestic Fires)MET1 (Meters)CONGLP1 (LPG)Industry experience of ideally two or three years Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicleIf you are seeking a part time role where you can bring your expertise to teach others your craft then please get in touch for more details
