Job Description

This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.Residential Services consists of three Community Resource Centres and five Extra Care Services which are based in Keynsham, Bath and Midsomer Norton. Charlton House Community Resource Centre (CRC) is currently a 30-bed nursing and high need residential care home based in Keynsham. You will be joining a friendly, passionate team, who are committed to providing excellent care to our residents. Thenature of our work requires kindness and compassion as standard.We are looking for a Lead Nurse - someone who can lead, develop, and motivate a busy clinical team, as well as supporting the Registered Manager in the management of the service. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional Nursing professional. Perhaps alreadya Lead Nurse looking for a larger service to support, or perhaps an experienced Senior Nurse, Nurse Lead looking for that next step up. The post also requires the successful candidate to deliver hands on nursing care alongside the care team.This role will be 37 hours per week across 7 days.Requirements for the post:

  • Must hold a degree or qualification recognised as equivalent by the NMC as a first level registered Nurse and held on the register.
  • To deliver compassionate nursing care which is person focused.
  • The ability to be proactive, think creatively and identify development opportunities and continuing ways of improvement
  • Have significant experience within an older person setting and able to carry out the range of professional services and technical elements including clinical risk assessment and the development of individualised care plans.
  • Experience, compassion, and competency in the delivery of end-of-life care.
  • Highly organised person who can mentor, encourage staff professional development and train staff.
  • The ability to be able to problem solve using demonstrable logical decision making.
  • Strong team player who with a collaborative work style.
  • Good levels of IT literacy including Microsoft Office and a knowledge of service-related systems.
  • High level of communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
