Job Description

Did you want to work for a rapidly expanding Software Business in BathDue to the companys continued growth within domestic and international markets, the business is looking to continue its hiring and look to recruit multiple IT Support Engineers.Being an IT Support Engineer youll have the opportunity to get to grips with Windows & Linux based operating systems, Cloud & Virtualisation (Xen, VMware, KVM or Hyper-V), Core Networking (Cisco, Routers, Firewalls & Switches) and finally Scripting (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell).Your work will contribute towards the companys 24 hours operation, monitoring, maintaining, supporting and deploying unique cloud, virtualised & Linux infrastructure.Skills & Experience;

  • Knowledge of using Ubuntu Operating systems, other flavours of Linux will be of interest - Debian, Red Hat/Redhat, Centos, Fedora, Samba
  • Exposure to Virtualisation (ideally Xen or VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V all welcome).
  • Exposure to basic Networking (Routers, Firewalls & Switches).
    • Desirable Experience;
  • Automation or Scripting experience (ideally BASH, or Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell).
  • Exposure of Resilient and Redundant File Systems (ideally ZFS and DRBD or alternatives such as btrfs, LVM, RAID, CEPH, Clustering Solutions).
